I cannot believe it's only been 2 weeks, I feel like I have been here FOREVER. Everyone said that the first month would seem long and then start to fly after that.
I've got so much work to do, it's like being back at school again. It's quite a bit easier than Manchester but there is just tonnes of it and it's hard to keep up with already! I'm hoping that they're just trying to shock us into it at the beginning of term and then it will ease off a bit. I've also got all of my essay deadlines and exam timetable now, so let the trip planning begin!
I went for lunch with Anne and Johanna today; the woman I met at the family meal night and a girl from Finland. We met up with Anne's friend and her two little kids 2 year old Sophia and 6 month old Hunter. They were too cute and we had a lovely day! Going to plan on meeting up with them again in the next couple of weeks, it's so lovely to meet people outside of the student world who are still interested in where you're from and what you're doing in Knoxville - they're all so patriotic! I've just got back after class and then printing and reading in the library now I'm heading next door for tea, Shannon and Michaela are making us jacket potatoes again (and insisting on saying it repeatedly because they find it so amusing).
Not sure what my plans for the rest of the week/weekend are yet, but there's lots to choose from! Tomorrow we're either going on a theatre tour or out for dinner, then on Saturday we're hopefully going to drive to Nashville for the day with Michaela (Florida!). Sunday is Boomsday and Monday is Labour day - which apparently are both quite big deals here, so sure there'll be plenty going on (and an extra day to get on top of this work).
